The Hungarian and The United Arab Emirates kept Joint Economic Committee meeting between 21 and 22 March 2019 in Budapest.
The Hungarian delegation was led by H.E. Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Delegation of The United Arab Emirates was headed by H.E. Eng. Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Minister of Economy.
Miklós Devecz, Director General of NAH and Abdullah Al Moeini Director General of ESMA were also members of the delegations.
There was a bilateral meeting between Miklós Devecz as the Director General of National Accreditation Authority and H.E. Abdullah Al Moeini, as Director General of the Emirates Organization for Standardization and Metrology on 21 March.
Parties agreed that cooperation has been fruitful for ESMA and NAH over the past two years.
The participants also reviewed the goals sat in the MoU.
The new goals intend to
-emphases the Halal accreditation as a real business value and
-to promote the positive impact on the market thanks to the accepted Halal Conformity Assessments.
The Director Generals agreed that a more efficient, flexible, and faster operation process of the International Halal Accreditation Forum (IHAF) is needed in order to reach the desired results.
During the Plenary session H.E. Eng. Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Minister of Economy as well as Mr. Abdullah Al Moeini Director General of ESMA emphasized the active role of the Hungarian Accreditation Authority in connection with the Halal accreditation and thanked for the efforts done during the past two and half years.
At the Plenary session Mr. Miklos Devecz had an opportunity to have a short personal discussion with H.E. Eng. Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Minister of Economy in connection with the observations and future plans of NAH regarding Halal accreditation and conformity assessment.
