The Hungarian-Vietnamese Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation, established in accordance with Article IV of the Agreement on Economic Co-operation between the Government of the Republic of Hungary and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, held the Eighth Session between 12 and 13 November 2018 in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The Hungarian delegation was headed by H.E. Mr. dr. Csaba Balogh, Minister of State for Public Administration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Co-Chair of the Hungarian Side of the Commission. Miklós Devecz, Director General of NAH, is also a member of the delegation.
Both Sides welcomed the conclusion of a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation between the Hungarian National Accreditation Authority (NAH) and the Vietnam Bureau of Accreditation Board of Accreditation (BoA - Director Vu X. Thuy) intended to foster cooperation in the field of reducing technical barriers to trade (TBT), promotion of good practices in the field of accreditation and accreditation of conformity assessment bodies in accordance with international regulations and regulations applicable in the two countries. Both Sides agreed to prepare, discuss and finalize a common action plan to reach the above mentioned goals to be signed during the upcoming 9th Session of the Hungarian-Vietnamese Joint Economic Commission.
