During the meeting Miklós Devecz, the Director General of NAH expressed his gratitude for the support as a result of which whithin 3 months two Memorandum of Understandings could be signed with the two main organisations – ESMA and GAC – acting in the field of accreditation and Halal Conformity Assessments accepted in the Islamic world that could create new business opportunities for the Hungarian products and services.
Parties agreed that there are lots of untapped opportunities among the countries of the region and Hungary highlighting the food processing industry, the pharmaceutical industry, the beauty and cosmetics industry, tourism and the fields of IT and cyber security.
In case of the first 3 identified territories, accreditation and the fast, cost-effective and flexible attitude of the Halal Conformity Assessment bodies have an important role. In the latter case in order to increase the level of competitiveness, it would be necessary to involve new other actors, as well.
