Significant achievements at the 38th General Assembly of the EA
2016. 11. 30.

The European co-operation for Accreditation (EA) held its 38th General Assembly in Boras, Sweden. From a Hungarian point of view the most important achievement was that the Director General of the National Accrediting Authority (NAH), Devecz Miklós signed the EA Multilateral Agreement (EA MLA) with the Chair of the EA MLA Paulo Tavares.

But there were other important decisions reached as highlighted by the EA homepage.

- This was the last EA GA meeting attended by Geir Samuelsen as the EA Vice-Chair.

- The EA General Assembly endorsed the recommendation made by the Executive Committee that ARMNAB, the national accreditation body of Armenia, becomes an Associate Member of EA.

- The EA Strategy 2025 setting the path for EA’s development over the coming decade, which had been presented at the GA in May, has been adopted by the General Assembly.
