ENISA (European Union Agency for Network and Information Security) has just published (27th November) its recommendations on European Data Protection Certification relevant for everyone who is planning to provide accredited certification services according to the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 679/2016 (‘GDPR’).
As it could be read in the introduction of the report:
"The objective of this report is to identify and analyse challenges and opportunities of data protection certification mechanisms, including seals and marks, as introduced by the GDPR, focusing also on existing initiatives and voluntary schemes. ”
