The European Accreditation Laboratory Committee Working Group had its meeting in Warsaw, where NAH was represented by the Director General, Devecz Miklós. On the first day of the two day meeting the participants were introduced to the working of the Polish Centre for Accreditation.
Furthermore such themes were discussed as how accrediting can help the fight against breast cancer (European Commission Initiative on Breast Cancer, ECIBC), the extension of accrediting regarding biobanks, Non Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT), accrediting of digital imaging in the medical field and the altering of the EA-4/17 M:2008 and the EA-4/20 G:2014 documents.
The “one standard for one activity” approach was discussed in a separate session by the Working Group.
